NRIs can buy insurance in India. There are a few general rules, and some very specific ones. Most documentation requirements will include:
- PAN Card
- Proof of Address
- Overseas Proof of Address
- Proof of Income (Salary slips, Bank Statements)
- Depending on the company there might be a some NRI Questionnaires
